So You Want To Launch a Podcast ?

  • Volta 1505 Barrington Street, Unit 100 Halifax, NS, B3J 3K5 Canada (map)

Considering raising your marketing game by starting a podcast? Here’s how to get a successful podcast up and running.

With 38 per cent of Canadians aged 18 to 54 now listening to podcasts on a weekly basis, many startups have found the medium an effective and budget-friendly way to get noticed. However, for every successful podcast, there are hundreds that fall short because the creator lacks the skills and knowledge to build an audience. If getting involved in this world has been an ambition for a while, or you are worried you can't afford not too, this session will help provide you with an understanding of how to get started, or if you should at all.

Lunch will be provided!

About the Presenter:

Rhys Waters is a creative producer based in Halifax. Rhys launched his own startup at the age of 22, a content agency that led him to create BAFTA Award-winning work for the BBC, and global brands such as Aston Martin. Now, a 34-year-old father of three, he and his wife moved to Canada last year on a whim, but with a thirst for adventure.

Rhys has produced, directed and edited more than 60 hours of television, radio, and commercials. He has been involved in podcasting since 2014, having developed and launched a hit show (the Unexplainers), which eventually became a television series. He is best known for his ability to lead diverse, multi-platform projects and for creating innovative, quirky comedies.
